Verhaltenstrend, der die Abgrenzung zu anderen Personen durch differenzierten Konsum zum Ziel hat. Aus dem Trend resultiert eine  Fraktalisierung der Zielgruppen und ihrer  Bedürfnisse mit der Chance für Anbieter zur  Marktsegmentierung und zum Nischenmarketing. Hierbei kann ein wichtiges Strategieelement die Personifizierung des Angebots durch interaktive Produktgestaltung ( Mass-Customization) sein.
